"what's the buzz... tell me what's a happening... what's a-happening..."
Jesus Christ Superstar featured prominently during the easter break... the original movie AND the remade dvd version. In some ways the original just has that extra something on top of the remake, and in some cases the remake has it a little better. But if anything both editions & multiple playings of this production has ended up with the kids recognising the songs & the events that took place at Easter.
Coupled with a Good Friday Easter pageant celebration at Good Shepherd where the Antioch youth group there re-enacted the stations of the cross, the kids have really picked up on the reason for the Easter season.

Shame I can't post a video of Terrell helping out pack up the chairs after the stations of the cross. He was dragging the chairs across to me where I was stacking 'em up...
Post friday celebrations included some quiet time at Jonelyn's house where we left Trinity to sleep over. Not much else happened. I picked her up on Saturday & also gained Jayde & Jelly where we did not much...
Easter Sunday was spent at casa Amor at a riverside garden of paradise called Wilberforce. Awesome estate right by the Hawkesbury river where the kids had a blast with games & I lost some money at poker. tsk tsk. Easter celebrations gambling. hehehe. Even my wife played & lost a few hands. Everyone pigged out on the great communal feast with KFC popcorn chicken proving very popular & also the pikelets & chocolate rice bubble muffin thingies. Terrell didn't enjoy the winding ride there evidenced by his vomit but he quickly recovered & took pole position in this game where if your number is called you run & grab the token from Ate Lyn. He was really number one in that game... poor Tristan didn't want to compete. Jayde & Jelly had a blast with the easter egg hunt even if the other kids beat 'em with the egg count.

The girls fully made up for it in the Monday egg collection at the Ycasiano castle. The family gathered there on Monday with a whole bunch of eggs from various sales that we couldn't find. But in the end the kids brought home more than their fair share of chocolate. Jocelyn hid one that no-one found even if Josh was really really close to finding it. Here's a pic of post egg hunting...
Indoor celebrations included eating, playing this PS2 game called Buzz or Buzza (great music trivia pursuit type of game that joe & mark & faye were really good at), eating, poker, eating, othello, & more eating. O yeh... in the end, my wife left me with the kids while she played poker at the Mean Fiddler. She apparently did ok...
& that pretty much ended our Easter festivities. Now hopefully we survive the school holidays & the coming Anzac holiday...
